Chandrika Lokesh

For Chandrika Lokesh, interior design wasn't a new dream. It was a passion she had carried with her since childhood. From rearranging her bedroom as a young girl to admiring beautifully designed spaces, she always knew creativity was part of who she was.

Although she earned a degree in Computer Science Engineering and later moved to the United States to raise her family, Chandrika never lost sight of her passion for design. After dedicating many years to motherhood, she decided it was finally time to pursue the career she had always envisioned.

"I came across Heritage School of Interior Design through a Google search and decided to take a school tour. From that moment, I knew it was the right fit for me."

As a member of the inaugural class at Heritage School of Interior Design Dallas, Chandrika graduated in April 2026 with her Master's Certificate in Interior Design.

Returning to school while raising two children was both exciting and challenging, but Chandrika embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and invest in her future.

"Returning to pursue my passion after many years taught me perseverance, confidence, and the importance of following your dreams, no matter the stage of life you're in."

She especially enjoyed the Fundamentals of Interior Design and AutoCAD courses, which provided a strong foundation in both creative design principles and technical skills.

"HSID Dallas gave me a strong foundation in interior design principles, space planning, color theory, material selection, and technical drawing. Most importantly, the program gave me the confidence to turn my passion into a profession."

Shortly after graduating, Chandrika completed her first residential remodeling project in Celina, Texas, and founded Space Factors LLC, a residential interior design and remodeling firm dedicated to creating timeless, client-centered homes.

Looking back, Chandrika believes Heritage Dallas transformed much more than her technical abilities.

"Today, I feel confident in my design abilities, technical skills, and decision-making. Most importantly, I now believe that I can turn my passion into a successful career."

As Chandrika continues building Space Factors LLC, she looks forward to expanding her business into a respected residential interior design firm known for timeless design, thoughtful remodeling, and exceptional client experiences.

Her long-term vision is to take on increasingly complex projects while helping homeowners transform their houses into personalized homes that reflect the way they live.
